Junior League of Milwaukee
Community Assistance Grants Program
Since its inception, the Junior League of Milwaukee
(JLM) has been the catalyst for positive change
in our community. Junior League members, through
their volunteer and fund raising efforts, have
created and/or supported organizations including
the Blood Center of Southeastern Wisconsin, Curative
Rehabilitation Center, Children’s Health
Education Center and most recently, Gilda’s
Club Southeastern Wisconsin. The League continually
monitors community needs through its Community
Program Planning Committee, focusing its efforts
on supporting Milwaukee area organizations and
programs striving to meet community needs.
The Community Assistance Grants (CAG) program
is one component of the JLM’s community
initiatives. It is designed to provide money to
non-profit, tax-exempt agencies, organizations
or similar programs responding to community needs
in Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Washington or Waukesha
counties. The JLM invites such entities to submit
grant applications for their programs or projects
that address existing or emerging community needs.
Awards may be made to programs of agencies or
organizations that receive religious funding support
or staff, provided that the program content is
non-religious and open to participants regardless
of their religious preferences.
