2005-2006 Community Program
Plan
This year's Community Program Plan
includes new outcome measure for each JLM committee.
Outcomes-based evaluation is defined as: "The
regular, systematic tracking of the extent to
which program participants experience the benefits
or changes intended." This type of evaluation
not only increases the effectiveness of a program,
but it communicates the value of the program to
members, the board, and the community at large.
Outcomes-based evaluation can be expected to:
- Provide direction for committee leaders
- Identify training needs
- Improve programs
- Support long-range and annual planning
- Guide budgets and justify resource allocations
- Focus board members' attention on programmatic
issues
