The Junior League of Milwaukee is excited to announce that the 2009-2010 year will have one New Member Orientation (NMO) Class beginning October 7, 2009. Your journey with the JLM will begin with a combination of new member training events (see specific dates below), small group meetings and a community project during which new members to the Junior League of Milwaukee will develop a strong understanding of the League and our role in the community. During the orientation, the new members will be introduced to every aspect of the League and understand the value of our impact on the community while developing new friendships.

All classes begin at 6:30 p.m. with social time beginning at 6:00 p.m. New Members should attend at least four classes. The September 23rd Kick-Off is a social event for new members to meet and become acclimated with JLM prior to the start of the NMO classes. Additional NMO social events will be added to the schedule as the new JLM year approaches. Below is a list of the New Member Orientation Requirements.
- Complete Membership Registration form and pay $150 dues (Due by October 7th class)
- Attend at least four of the NMO Classes but you are welcome to attend all
- Work one shift at the Blood Drive
- Do one Small Group Service Project which will be discussed at NMO Class 1
- Attend two Junior League General Membership Meetings
- Attend one JLMU Session
- Work one shift at the Grand Garage Sale (date TBD)
- Donate merchandise to the GGS
