Member Requirements

Active members must annually fulfill the following requirements:

Required Items:

1. Complete Registration Process
2. Volunteer Placement (one or more of the following)
• Committee Member
• Leader (Chair or Board Position)
• Special Assignment (i.e. Nomination Committee)
• External Community Placement
• Cross-Functional Work Group Participation
3. Attend Annual Voting Meeting or Vote by Proxy

Elective Items:

1. Active Plus Status
2. Attend Membership meetings
3. Participation in Other Activity/Event Designated by President or Director (i.e. Training Workshop)
4. Community Shift organized by JLM
5. Fundraising Shift organized by JLM
6. Attendance at an approved Fundraising Event
7. Recruitment of a New Member who Completes New Member Orientation and becomes and Active Member
8. Secure Sponsorship of a JLM Fundraising Event
9. Personally Sponsor a JLM Fundraising Event
10. Donate Meeting or Event Space
11. Contribution to JLM Annual Campaign
12. Purchase of an Occasion to Gather Cookbook
13. Volunteer Service Award (VSA) Hours

VSA Hours may be earned by participating in the following:

1. Preparing for Committee/Board Meetings
2. Attending Committee/Board Meetings
3. Attending Membership Meetings or Training Workshops
4. Working a Fundraising Event
5. Working a Community Shift
