Membership Types
New Member
New Junior League members are placed in a New
Member Class led by a committee dedicated
to training them on the Junior League of Milwaukee.
New Member Class meetings are structured to offer
training, provide information about how the League
operates, answer questions, and develop friendships.
The pinnacle of the New Member Class is the New
Member Project; a community project that is planned
and produced by the new members.
Active Member
After completing your New Member Class, members
attain "Active" status
and are placed on a committee for service. Active
members may register for a new committee every
year. You direct your experience in the League.
Sustaining Member
Women who are 40 years of age or more and who
have completed a minimum of two (2) years of Active
service can become a sustaining
member of the Junior League. Members under
40 years of age who have completed 10 years of
Active service are also eligible for sustainer
status.
