Membership Types

New Member
New Junior League members are placed in a new member class led by a committee dedicated to teaching them about the Junior League of Milwaukee. New Member Class meetings are structured to offer training, provide information about how the League operates, teach about the history of JLM, answer questions, and develop friendships.

Active Member
After completing your new member class, members attain active status and are placed on a committee for service. Active members register for a new committee every year. By choosing the committees in which you are interested in participating, you direct your experience in the League.

Sustaining Member
Women who are at least 40 years of age and who have completed a minimum of two years of Active service can become a sustaining member of the Junior League. Members under 40 years of age who have completed 10 years of Active service are also eligible for sustainer status.
